We'reAbout9 Monday, October 20, 8:00 PM Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring $12 advance/$15 door "Theyre getting a lot of attention right now, and it's well deserved: measured guitar, tight and gorgeous three-part harmonies, and Brian Gundersdorf writing beautiful, clever songs that I wish I had written." -Music Monthly The three-part harmonies of Were About 9 defy classification. Des-cribed as alternative, contemporary, folk and Americana, the group is known for its charming stage presence and quirky, topical, compelling music. Their vocal blend has drawn comparisons to Crosby, Stills and Nash and Barenaked Ladies. Brian Gundersdorf, the bands founder, met Pat Klink and Katie Graybeals at an open mic in 1999. Struck by the way their voices came together when they played, the three young musicians started a regimen of local shows and soon produced their first album. Were About 9 delighted IMT audiences when they opened for Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer; their performance at last seasons Beatles tribute was a highlight of the season. Dont miss this incredibly talented, up-and-coming trio perform the IMT debut of their new album "Engine!" Purchase Tickets |
