Come celebrate the release of Tinsmith’s second CD, "Jigsaw." The trio combines a love of traditionalCeltic music with irreverent, yet skilled improvisations and arrangements. Unafraid to mix an electric guitar with a bodhran, a 5-string banjo and a bouzouki, the group transforms established renditions into vibrant, fresh melodies while respecting the seeds from which they were sown. Their brand new CD further develops Tinsmith’s unique approach to postmodern Celtic roots rock. Lead vocalist Brooke Parkhurst, who doubles on banjo, flute, and tin whistle, is supported by Rowan Corbett on vocals, bouzouki, guitar, and bones, and John McLoughlin on vocals, various guitars, and bodhran. Tinsmith will be joined by folk rock trio ily AIMY for an evening of music that spans genres and blends traditions.
