"Eric
Taylor was one of my heroes and teachers when I started playing around
Houston in the early 1970s. Hes the real deal."Steve
Earle
Youve heard their songs performed by the likes of Nanci Griffith,
Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt. Three of the most respected
narrative songwriters will share the stage, trading songs and stories
in the Texas tradition. Frankes 2001 release, "Comfort"
(produced by Eric Taylor) is a tour de force of tight and variegated
ensemble playing, passionate singing, emotionally stirring lyrics, and
haunting, catching melodies. Nanci Griffith said "If you miss an
opportunity to hear Eric Taylor, you have missed a chance to hear a
voice I consider the William Faulkner of songwriting in our current
time." When Townes Van Zandt was once asked to name his favorite
composers he listed Mozart, Bob Dylan, Lightnin Hopkins, and David
Olney. Dont just take our word for it, this is a lineup that simply
cant be
beat.

"Dave Olney is one of the best songwriters Ive ever heard
and thats true. I mean that from my heart."
Townes Van Zandt

"Denice Franke is a sensitive and compelling singer and songwriter."
Lyle Lovett
