Following extensive tours of the UK, Austria, and the US/Canada, Téada is one of the brightest up and coming traditional Irish bands on the scene, recently nominated for Irish Music Magazine's Best Newcomer Award for 2002/3. Téada was founded by Oisin Mac Diarmada from Sligo, a talented young fiddle player with many All Ireland titles under his belt. His mellow style and smooth technique have earned him rave reviews from far and wide, marking him as one of the best fiddle players around today. He is joined by fellow members Londoner John Blake on guitar and flute, Sean McElwain from Monaghan, banjo and bouzouki, Co.Laois native, accordionist Paul Finn, and drummer Tristan Rosenstock from Dublin..
