"The Pyrates Royale are the kings and queens of innuendo and insinuation."
- Christine Markel Lampe, No Quarter Given

"Zentz has it all...a bag of strikingly attractive songs...a pleasing
voice...and mastery of a variety of stringed things"

- The SCOTSMAN, Scotland's Newspaper

This double bill promises an outrageous evening of music and humor. Pyrates Royale is more than a music group, not exactly a comedy troupe, and sometimes a costumed company. WAMA nominees for "Best Traditional Folk Group" in 2001 and 2002, this gang of six has been making waves with its own brand of maritime music, history and comedy for fifteen years. Armed with a host of instruments and vocals, they have wowed folks from Key West to New York City, and many ports in between, as well as those who watched their appearance on Good Morning America.

A Bob Zentz concert, is a smorgasbord of contemporary, traditional and original songs, tunes and chat, linked by his philosophic perspective, thematic-logic and a strong sense of history, humanity and humor. From traditional Celtic Tunes and Ballads to Science Fiction Songs, and Sea Chanteys, from Tales of "Old Timers and Old Rhymers," to Poetry, (set to Music), Bobs show is a unique testimony to his vast repertoire and varied personal interests. He serves as the "Tidewater's Musical Ambassador."
