For many years in the early 1970s "Liz Meyer & Friends"performed
at every major concert venue in the DC area. Liz was a mainstay on the
bluegrass and country scene that firmly established DC as the nations
"Bluegrass Capital." When Liz performed at clubs like the
"Childe Harold," she had a little-
known
banjo and guitar player in the band by the name of Danny Gatton, and
her close friend (and DC native) Emmylou Harris would often share the
stage. Liz moved to Holland where she quickly established herself as
one of the top artists on the European acoustic scene and festival circuit.
This will be Lizs third tour of the US with national flatpick
guitar champion Mark Cosgrove, who is also an outstanding harmony singer.
This unique pairing of a dynamic singer-songwriter and a virtuoso guitarist
will provide a memorable evening of "folk and bluegrass that rocks."
