A commanding performer, James Keelaghan develops an intimate rapport
with audiences through his stories and humor, and then leaves them spellbound
with passionate renditions of songs that touch on universal emotions
and relate historical events to the present. Widely regarded as Canada’s
premier singer-songwriter, he has won the coveted Juno Award (Canada’s
equivalent of the Grammy), and has earned a loyal international following.
Keelaghan’s new CD, "Home," takes him back to his folk
roots with a more traditional sound as he looks at world events, landscape,
and longing through a spare and intimate lens. James Keelaghan can even
be found in the "Canadian Dictionary." He is fond of noting
that his entry is longer than the one for the Royal Bank, yet shorter
than the entry for the red squirrel.
