"He's long been a front-runner in the bluegrass pack, with his beautiful sound and staggering technique, but no one has ever done it quite this way before."
- Tim O'Brien

David Grier is one of the most award-winning guitarists in recent memory. For the past several years,he has been voted "Guitar Player of the Year" by the IBMA, and Acoustic Guitar magazine lists him as one of the "Artists of the Decade." His inspiration to learn guitar came from exposure to Bill Monroe while his father, Lamar Grier, played banjo with the Blue Grass Boys in the mid-1960s. His recordings showcase his breathtaking ability to push the boundaries of bluegrass guitar to new rhythmic and harmonic levels. David's "Lone Soldier" CD is listed in Acoustic Guitar magazine's "100 Essential Acoustic Guitar Recordings of All Time." On his brand new CD, "I' ve Got the House to Myself," Grier creates brilliant new arrangements of traditional fiddle tunes, transforming tired old melodies into masterpieces for solo guitar. David will be joined by special guests Akira Otsuka on mandolin and Mike Munford on banjo.
