Multi-instrumentalist Beth Patterson, formerly of the New Orleans
based band, The Poor Clares, brings her traditional and original
mix of Celtic, Cajun and folk music to IMT. Performing primarily on
her 8 and 10-string bouzoukis (or citterns), Beth is also a first class
bass guitarist and singer. She has played in eleven countries throughout
the Americas and Europe, and spent a year studying traditional Irish
music and ethnomusicology at the University of Cork in Ireland. A veteran
producer and studio musician, Beth is also a prolific songwriter whose
compositions have been featured on the recordings of several diverse
artists.
