"April Verch is a terrific fiddler whose work should be on every fiddle lover's short list."

April Verch has been stepdancing and fiddling since the age of six. Now in her early twenties, Verch is a breath of fresh air. Though she has deep roots in the fiddling of her native Ottawa Valley in Canada, her broad repertoire features traditional and contemporary tunes ranging in source and inspiration from Quebec to the Appalachians and from Eastern Europe to Brazil. Among her more than 400 fiddling awards are the titles of Canadian Grand Masters and Open Fiddle Champion; she is also an award-winning Ottawa Valley stepdancer and has released four albums. She was a guest performer at the Millennium Celebrations at the Kennedy Center as well as Chet Atkins’ tribute in Nashville, and has toured worldwide for years. Dynamic and diabolic, soothing and soaring, the music of April Verch will leave you invigorated and charmed.
