From
his early days working in an aluminum mill in Central PA, Joe
Uehlein developed a keen interest in Rock & Roll and the Folk
and Country sounds of working class music. His broad musical journey
began in union halls across the country, touring to Japan, Switzerland,
the U.K. and Venezuela, and led to sharing the stage with countless
legendary artists. Joe’s passion continues as he combines forces with
the hard workin’, hard drivin’ musicians known as The U-Liners.
Combining numerous musical styles from bluegrass to country, The
U-Liners are never a dull ride. The band’s frontman, Joe Uehlein, is
solid on guitar and vocals; WAMMIE award winning multi-instrumentalist,
Avril Smith, provides sparkling guitar, mandolin and
vocals; Mindy McWilliams adds everything from haunting to
heavenly fiddle and vocals; tight and consistent rhythm tracks are laid
down by contributing songwriter Barry Warsaw on bass and
vocals; and Larry Ferguson drives the band on drums and
percussion. Their eponymous debut CD, The U-Liners, marks the beginning
of a new trip, crossing bridges and boundaries, providing audiences
with inspiration, camaraderie and solid entertainment. As The
