Consistent winner of GLAAD and GLAMA awards, SONiA is always striving to disappear fear and spread her message of Peace. The band’s recently released CD, "t a n g o" is already # 6 on the World Music Charts, and introduces Latin and Middle Eastern rhythms and instrumentation — featuring the indigenous sounds of djembes, tin whistles, violins and acoustic guitars — to punctuate and lend new textures to its impassioned music The message, as always, is Love, Peace and Equality; themes familiar to SONiA's writing since the creation of her band, "disappear fear" in 1987.

Their label, disappear records, donates 18% of every song downloaded to the United Nations World Food Programme to help end poverty around the globe. In keeping with her message that war is not the answer SONiA has created “Guitars for Peace” which helps bring Acoustic Guitars to children in war torn countries. Two Guitars have already been delivered.
