Maggie Sansone
"A Celtic Fair"
New Release Concert!

Come celebrate at this festive gathering featuring Maggie Sansone on hammered dulcimer with her guests Andrea Hoag on fiddle, Paul Oorts on cittern, harp guitar, mandolin and accordion, Rob Greenway on guitar and Irish flute, Seth Kibel on sax and clarinet, and Matthew Bell on percussion accompanying the Teelin School of Irish dance.

Sansone brings an innovative spirit to traditional music, joining ancient and modern instruments, jazzy harmonies and percussive grooves to interpret music from Renaissance dance manuscripts; jigs, reels and airs from Ireland, Scotland and Brittany, France; and new compositions in the Celtic tradition. With her new CD, Sansone invites the listener to "imagine an ancient gathering of musicians in colorful garb, musical instruments in hand, heading for merriment and revelry at the castle fair." Sansone has the distinction of being a working musician and CEO of her own independent record company, Maggie's Music, Inc. The label has a growing roster of recording artists and over fifty albums in world-wide distribution, including twelve solo recordings by Sansone.
