Trad Irish music
at its foot stompin’ best! A genial giant from the Dingle peninsula in
County Kerry (Breanndán on button accordion)
joins forces with Dublin born fiddler (Caoimhín)
to guarantee a brilliant workout of every set of toes in the room.
Currently a member of the seminal Celtic band, Boys of the Lough,
Breanndán's exciting dance music, sensitive emotional playing of
slow airs and his singing in his native Irish have endeared him to
audiences worldwide. Both lads have toured extensively and are featured
on radio programs on both sides of the Atlantic. Since the resounding
success of his 2003 release, Kitty Lie Over with Mick O'Brien (chosen
as #1 Traditional Album of 2003 by Earle Hitchner in the Irish Echo,
and described in The Irish Times as "a niftier mood enhancer than any
drug therapy" by Siobhán Long), Caoimhín is considered
one of traditional Irish music's foremost fiddle virtuosos.
