An Evening with Dougie Maclean

Dougie MacLean, Scotland’s musical ambassador to IMT, returns! Well loved by IMT audiences (and those worldwide) with good reason, Dougie has penned some of the most evocative music to come out of the British Isles: The Gael, featured in The Last of the Mohicans; Turning Away of the Jennifer Lopez film vehicle, Angel Eyes; Ready for the Storm, covered by GRAMMY award winner Kathy Mattea, to name a few of the best known.
“Dougie MacLean is a performer of extraordinary warmth and ease...he has a knack for turning the experiences of his own life into something universally understood, as well as a gift for bestowing each with just the right melody.” (Scotsman, UK)
Accompanied simply by his own guitar, Dougie sings his compositions as no one else can, which is why his IMT concerts are always packed. His latest CD, Who Am I has been described as an album of “profound yet positive songs for a new millennium”.
